Emergency Dispatch Officer

About the role

Help263 is building a digital emergency and support ecosystem in Zimbabwe. As an Emergency Dispatch Officer you will work in a fast‑paced environment, connecting callers with the appropriate emergency and assistance services they need.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and manage emergency and assistance requests via phone or digital channels.
• Assess the nature, location and urgency of each request.
• Coordinate ambulances, roadside assistance, towing, security and other service providers.
• Monitor response and resolution times to ensure timely assistance.
• Keep customers informed and reassured throughout the process.
• Maintain accurate incident records and logs.
• Escalate urgent or high‑risk situations to senior staff as required.

Required profile

• Tech‑savvy and comfortable using computers.
• Excellent communication skills and calm under pressure.
• Customer‑focused, compassionate and reliable.
• Strong problem‑solving, multitasking and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.

Required skills

• Computer literacy.
