Partnerships Specialist – Multi‑Country Lead (Zimbabwe)

About the role

The Partnerships Specialist will lead the development and implementation of partnership strategies for UNOPS across multiple countries, with a focus on Zimbabwe. Reporting to the Multi‑Country Office Director, the role aims to expand UNOPS' portfolio, mobilise resources and strengthen relationships with governments, donors and UN agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute a comprehensive partnership development plan aligned with UNOPS strategic and regional priorities.
• Analyse the national and regional development landscape to identify potential partners and operational niches.
• Coordinate with local, liaison and headquarters partnership teams, as well as project managers, to ensure cohesive implementation.
• Assess risks and opportunities related to strategic positioning and propose mitigation measures.
• Track and report on partnership performance, pipeline opportunities and resource mobilisation outcomes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in partnership development, donor relations or business development within the development sector.
• Strong understanding of the humanitarian and development context in Southern Africa.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple offices and with diverse stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and strategic planning skills.
