Operations Executive – Harare

About the role

We are seeking a driven and highly organised Operations Executive to lead the full operational scope of our newly established company in Harare. This hands‑on, cross‑functional position sits at the heart of the business, linking warehouse management, commodity trading, logistics, and procurement.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day warehouse operations, ensuring safe, clean, and efficient handling of agricultural commodities, supervising staff, and maintaining accurate stock records.
• Coordinate the operational execution of commodity trades from contract confirmation through delivery and settlement, preparing all trade documentation and monitoring positions against inventory.
• Plan and manage the movement of commodities from farms or suppliers to the warehouse and onward to buyers, negotiating transport rates and handling import/export documentation.
• Source and procure agricultural commodities, packaging materials, equipment, and other operational supplies, ensuring cost‑effective purchasing.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of agricultural commodity trading and related regulatory requirements.
• Proven ability to manage multiple moving parts in a fast‑paced trading environment.
• Excellent organisational skills with a track record of keeping operations efficient and cost‑effective.
