Mission Support Supervisor (Bulawayo)

About the role

The Mission Support Supervisor will work closely with the Mission Support Manager to protect and enhance the mission’s facilities and properties in Bulawayo. This people‑manager position oversees the mission home attendant and driver while ensuring that buildings remain functional, safe, and well‑maintained.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Area Mission Support Manager in meeting the mission’s temporal needs.
• Coordinate regularly with the Mission President to understand and address facility requirements.
• Supervise mission drivers and housekeepers, handling hiring, termination, promotions, and performance reviews in partnership with HR.
• Negotiate, renew, and close apartment leases; manage building maintenance projects, vendor assignments, and cost, quality, and schedule targets.
• Conduct facility inspections to verify compliance with standards and anticipate upcoming mission needs.
• Maintain inventory of Church‑owned furnishings and oversee proper disposal of excess or unserviceable items.
• Foster strong relationships with mission leaders, missionaries, employees, and vendors.

Required profile

• Current, valid temple recommend (or eligibility to obtain one).
• Three‑year National Diploma or Bachelor’s degree.
• Minimum five years of experience in facilities/property management, construction procedures, business practices, and safety/fire codes.
• At least three years of supervisory experience in a multi‑disciplinary environment.
• Professional communication skills for interaction with mission leaders, contractors, and vendors.
