Labour Market Assessment (LMA) Consultant

About the role

The Labour Market Assessment (LMA) Consultant will lead comprehensive labour market analyses in targeted communities to inform economic reintegration assistance. This role focuses on mapping stakeholders, job platforms, and employment services, and identifying sectors experiencing labour shortages.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement primary and secondary data collection methods to assess labour market conditions.
• Map and analyse key stakeholders, job platforms, and employment service providers.
• Identify industries with critical labour shortages and produce evidence‑based recommendations.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for project partners and donors.
• Support monitoring and evaluation activities within the IOM‑KOICA project framework.

Required profile

• University degree in economics, labour studies, social sciences or a related field.
• Proven experience conducting labour market research, preferably in Southern Africa.
• Strong analytical and report‑writing abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in multicultural and multi‑stakeholder environments.
