Freelance Loan Officer (Harare)

About the role

We are seeking a freelance Loan Officer based in Harare to market and promote our loan products, engage prospective borrowers and guide them through the application process.

Key responsibilities

• Market and promote the company's loan products to prospective clients.
• Identify and onboard new clients.
• Engage loan applicants to understand and assess their financing needs.
• Gather and verify all required loan application documentation.
• Explain loan terms, conditions, and repayment obligations to clients.
• Submit completed loan applications in a timely manner.
• Handle client questions promptly and professionally.
• Adhere to company policy and relevant regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience marketing loan products.
• Good understanding of Salary‑Based (SSB) Loans, Private Sector Loans, SME Loans, and Individual Loans.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Sales‑oriented with a commitment to client service.
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently towards targets.
