Finance Officer – Accounting & Financial Analysis

About the role

Finealt Engineering is seeking a detail‑oriented Finance Officer to join its Finance and Administration Department on a six‑month contract. The role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, preparing comprehensive reports, supporting audit activities and delivering financial analysis to support business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements, reports, schedules and statutory disclosures.
• Analyse financial performance and key performance indicators.
• Prepare audit packs and support internal and external audit processes.
• Address audit findings and recommend improvements to financial controls.
• Identify financial control gaps and assist in implementing appropriate controls and systems.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and corrective action planning.
• Evaluate investment proposals and provide financial analysis for management decisions.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting or a related discipline (Part C CIS, ACCA, CIMA preferred).
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a professional accounting environment.
• High level of accuracy, strong integrity and professional ethics.
• Knowledge of GAAP, IFRS, IAS and statutory compliance requirements.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to analyse and present financial information clearly.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Pastel accounting software.
• Proficiency in Sage Accounting software.
