Finance & Accounting Intern

About the role

Our client, a growing agricultural business, is seeking a motivated Finance & Accounting Intern to support its financial and administrative operations while gaining practical, hands‑on experience in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Record and maintain accurate financial transactions and accounting records.
• Prepare and update invoices, receipts, payment records and other financial documentation.
• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
• Capture and reconcile financial information, including bank and cash reconciliations.
• Monitor customer payments and outstanding balances.
• Support the preparation of basic financial reports and management summaries.
• Maintain organised digital and physical financial records.
• Help with budgeting, expense tracking and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Assist with stock and inventory record‑keeping where required.
• Provide general administrative support to the finance and management team.

Required profile

• Completed or currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Numerate, detail‑oriented and highly organised.
• Reliable, professional and able to maintain confidentiality.
• Able to work independently and collaborate with a wider team.

Required skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Proficient in Google Sheets.
