Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/Professor – Security Risk Management

About the role

Midlands State University invites applications for three full‑time academic positions ranging from Lecturer to Professor in the Department of Supply Chain, Insurance and Risk Sciences. The successful candidates will join a dynamic faculty focused on security risk management and related disciplines.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and tutorials for up to three modules such as Introduction to Security Management, Physical Security, Arms Handling and Control, and others.
• Participate in departmental, faculty and university activities, including meetings, workshops, conferences and community engagement.
• Conduct active research in the area of security risk management, contributing to scholarly publications and knowledge transfer.
• Lead innovation projects that result in tangible products or services and support commercialisation efforts.

Required profile

• First degree (minimum 2:1) in Risk Management, Insurance, Policing, Security or a related field.
• Master’s degree in a relevant discipline; a PhD is an added advantage.
• Teaching experience at the tertiary level or relevant industry experience.
• Membership in a professional body related to security or risk management is desirable.
