Technical Market Development Lead

About the role

Syngenta Crop Protection is seeking a Technical Market Development Lead to drive new product introductions and demonstration trials in Zimbabwe and Malawi. The role combines technical expertise with commercial support to accelerate adoption of innovative crop protection solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Represent CPD during the Portfolio Definition Cycle, contributing to business cases and project prioritisation.
• Plan, execute and monitor demonstration trial programmes with key partners and customers.
• Achieve 100% success rate for trial quality and on‑time delivery.
• Build and maintain relationships with distributors, grower organisations and industry stakeholders.
• Interpret trial results, validate findings and provide actionable recommendations to commercial teams.
• Organise field, classroom, virtual or hybrid demonstration days for internal and external audiences.
• Provide technical support to local marketing, sales and regulatory colleagues.
• Ensure compliance with Syngenta Health, Safety & Environment policies and support sustainability initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum B.Sc. degree in Agriculture (plant pathology, entomology, agronomy or weed science preferred).
• At least 5 years of product development experience in crop protection or related agricultural sector.
• Proven ability to manage multi‑stakeholder projects and deliver results.
