Supply and Logistics Specialist – UNICEF Zimbabwe

About the role

The Supply and Logistics Specialist will lead UNICEF Zimbabwe's supply chain operations, ensuring that essential goods, services, and construction works reach programme beneficiaries efficiently and transparently.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and oversee end‑to‑end supply chain activities, including procurement, customs clearance, warehousing and distribution.
• Develop emergency logistics strategies, maintain stock pre‑positioning and participate in logistics clusters.
• Collaborate with programme teams on proposal development, donor budgeting and supply component monitoring.
• Provide technical advisory to government institutions and strengthen national logistics capacity.
• Support innovative supply solutions, market development and best‑practice promotion.
• Promote UN Volunteer engagement, contribute to knowledge‑sharing and community activities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Economics, Procurement or related field (or Bachelor’s plus recognized professional certification).
• Minimum 7 years of experience in supply chain management, procurement, contracting and logistics operations.
• Proven experience in development or humanitarian settings.
• Fluent English.
