Shift Supervisor – Mining Operations

About the role

The Shift Supervisor will support the Section Manager Mining in overseeing underground mining activities at Unki Mines, Shurugwi. This position ensures production targets are met while maintaining strict safety, health, and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve set production targets within the assigned shift.
• Control and monitor production operations in the designated area.
• Allocate labour, supervise teams, and optimise resource utilisation.
• Ensure compliance with mining standards and regulations.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate mining and logistical activities.
• Monitor work performance and verify worker competence.
• Apply and uphold safety, health, and environmental principles at all times.

Required profile

• Minimum of 5 O’ Level subjects.
• At least 3 years of hard‑rock, trackless underground mining experience.
• Full blasting licence for underground operations.
• Valid Mining First Aid certification.
• NEC Certificate (mandatory).
• A recognised degree or diploma in Mining Engineering is an advantage.
