Sales Intern – Partner Acquisition & Marketing Support

About the role

LEZA is seeking a motivated Sales Intern to expand its merchant and partner network across Zimbabwe. You will work closely with the growth team to identify, pitch, and onboard new restaurant and retail partners while supporting marketing initiatives that keep the brand sharp.

Key responsibilities

• Prospect and reach out to potential restaurant and retail partners in target areas.
• Conduct on‑site and virtual pitches to present LEZA’s value proposition.
• Support the onboarding of new merchants onto the platform.
• Maintain and update the sales pipeline and partner contact records.
• Gather feedback from prospective partners and relay insights to the product team.
• Assist with market research to identify growth opportunities and competitor activity.
• Represent LEZA at local business and networking events.
• Help create marketing materials such as social media posts, flyers, and promotional content.
• Support minor marketing campaigns across digital and physical channels.
• Use AI tools to accelerate content creation, copywriting, and basic design tasks.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience in sales, business development, or a customer‑facing role.
• Formal degree or diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a confident pitching style.
• Self‑motivated, target‑driven, and able to meet goals.
• Genuine interest in tech, startups, and delivery platforms.

Required skills

• Proficiency with AI tools such as ChatGPT or Canva AI.
• Basic design sensibility using Canva or Adobe Express.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace or similar productivity tools.
