Remote CMS Developer – Build Custom Web Solutions

About the role

We are seeking an experienced CMS Developer to design, build, and maintain custom content management systems for a fully remote team. You will translate design mock-ups into responsive, secure web experiences while ensuring performance and scalability.

Key responsibilities

• Create and scale custom CMS applications, developing themes, modules and plugins from scratch.
• Implement responsive designs, ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimise site performance.
• Configure custom post types and fields to provide an intuitive editing experience for non-technical users.
• Maintain site security, manage backups, updates and user authentication.
• Apply technical SEO best practices and integrate third-party APIs, CRM systems and analytics tools.
• Collaborate daily with UI/UX designers, back-end developers and content stakeholders.
• Produce clean code and comprehensive technical documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of professional software development with a strong focus on CMS platforms.
• Proven ability to work independently in a fully remote environment and manage time effectively.
• Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills with attention to design accuracy.

Required skills

• HTML5, CSS3 (Flexbox, Grid), JavaScript (ES6+).
• Server-side languages: PHP, Python, Ruby.
• Extensive experience with WordPress, Drupal, Craft CMS or Magento.
• API integration, database management and custom backend architecture.
• Technical SEO, Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics.
