About the role
We are seeking a skilled Pastry Chef to join the culinary team at the Rainbow Towers Hotel in Harare. Reporting to the Head Chef, you will be responsible for creating a wide range of pastries, desserts and baked goods for our guests.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of pastries, cakes, cookies, pies and breads.
- Develop new and exciting desserts to refresh menus and attract customers.
- Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of pastry arts, ingredients and techniques.
- Design and present pastries and baked goods in an attractive manner.
- Monitor stock levels of baking ingredients and place orders within budget.
- Ensure all baked products meet quality standards.
- Comply with food hygiene, health and safety regulations.
Required profile
- National Certificate in Professional Cookery.
- Minimum two years experience in a similar pastry role.
- Strong character with high integrity and ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Attention to detail, good planning and organisational skills.
- Well‑groomed and able to work effectively in a team.
