Manager - Banking Systems

About the role

ZB Financial Holdings is seeking an experienced Manager to lead the operations, maintenance, and continuous improvement of its core banking system and related applications. The role ensures technology services align with strategic business objectives, operational resilience, and service excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a core banking systems strategy aligned with business goals.
• Oversee day‑to‑day operations, performance, and availability of core banking and peripheral applications.
• Champion operational procedures, maintenance processes, controls, and support tools.
• Plan, test, deploy, and monitor system patches, upgrades, and enhancements.
• Redesign and automate complex banking processes using automation tools and AI solutions.
• Lead query resolution, fault diagnosis, root‑cause analysis, and long‑term solutions.
• Manage vendor relationships, SLAs, and third‑party service delivery.
• Implement and maintain backup processes, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities.
• Supervise, coach, and manage operations staff to ensure high performance.
• Control operational expenditure and manage the maintenance budget.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field (Master’s desirable).
• Minimum four years of software development and architecture experience, with at least three years in banking or a regulated financial environment at a managerial level.
• Proven experience in enterprise application deployment, support, and operations.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
• IT Service Management certification (e.g., ITIL) is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Java.
