Healthcare Assistant

About the role

The Healthcare Assistant position at Job Connect is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Harare. You will work closely with clinical staff to support patients in their daily living activities, ensuring comfort, safety, and dignity at all times.

Key responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal care, mobility, and daily living tasks.
• Support clinical staff with basic healthcare procedures and monitor patient conditions.
• Report any changes or concerns promptly to the appropriate team members.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe care environments.
• Follow health‑and‑safety and infection‑control protocols.

Required profile

• Strong patient‑care orientation with empathy and professionalism.
• Knowledge of health & safety and infection‑control practices in a healthcare setting.
• Ability to perform safe manual handling and assist with patient positioning.
• Good interpersonal skills for communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Basic understanding of common medical procedures relevant to a healthcare assistant.
