Growth Marketer

About the role

SGEN is looking for a Growth Marketer who lives where the conversation happens – WordPress forums, Reddit, Hacker News, IndieHackers and related Slack communities. You will be the human voice that engages users, answers questions and subtly introduces SGEN when it adds real value.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a daily presence in WordPress‑related subreddits, Hacker News, IndieHackers and developer Slack groups.
• Craft thoughtful, substantive replies that build personal credibility and trust.
• Monitor community discussions, anticipate conversation direction and intervene when SGEN can help.
• Design and execute email sequences for sandbox users, drip campaigns for stalled trial accounts, and direct outreach to agencies.
• Segment audiences, set cadence, and track engagement without relying on generic automation.

Required profile

• Patient with people, impatient with poor writing; prefers quality over quantity.
• Comfortable reading and responding to technical threads, understanding tone and moderation rules.
• Calm under criticism; knows when to reply and when to let a comment stand.
• Consistent community participant willing to stay visible for months.
• Authentic experience with WordPress – can discuss its strengths and pain points honestly.
