Cashier (2 positions) – Kwekwe Campus

About the role

Midlands State University is seeking two dedicated cashiers for its Kwekwe Campus. The role involves handling a variety of fee collections and providing front‑line support to students, staff, and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Receive manual and electronic fee payments from students and staff.
• Post receipts into the Sage Evolution accounting system.
• Collect and record canteen fees for students, visitors, and staff.
• Address queries from students and staff regarding payments.
• Manually record daily tuck‑shop sales and post them in Sage Evolution.
• Reconcile daily cash collections and sign the cash register at the end of each day.

Required profile

• Diploma in Accounting or Finance (minimum qualification).
• At least one year of post‑qualification experience in cashiering duties, preferably in a university environment.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as Pastel or Sage Evolution.
