Area Sales Executive – Medical Devices

About the role

The Aesculap Division is seeking an energetic Area Sales Executive to lead the promotion and sales of B. Braun Power Systems, MIS, and sterile technology products across Zimbabwe. Reporting to the Regional Sales & COO, you will work directly with healthcare providers, surgeons, and purchasing teams to grow market share.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve and exceed revenue targets for the product portfolio.
• Own the territory, driving sales growth and new business opportunities.
• Conduct market and competitor analysis, providing regular feedback.
• Develop and execute sales strategies for surgical professionals, hospitals, and clinics.
• Build and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders, surgeons, nursing staff, and purchasing departments.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of industry trends, competitor activities, and new technologies.
• Prepare and execute pre‑call plans, report market information, and manage product mix analysis.
• Ensure samples and marketing materials are presented professionally.
• Identify customer training needs and organise training sessions.
• Attend industry symposiums, congresses, and conferences, including evenings and weekends.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Nursing (scrub experience advantageous).
• 3–4 years proven experience in medical sales, covering both private and state sectors.
• Strong knowledge of Zimbabwe’s medical field and healthcare landscape.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation abilities.
• Independent work style with effective time management across a large geographic area.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel extensively within the region.
