Animator (2D/3D) – Harare

About the role

Abmodas Productions, a leading Zimbabwean production house, is seeking a creative Animator to join its Harare studio. The role is full‑time and on‑site, focusing on delivering high‑quality 2D and/or 3D animation for film, television and digital projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop storyboards and animatics that translate scripts into visual sequences.
• Create 2D and 3D animation, motion graphics and visual effects that support the narrative.
• Integrate motion‑capture data into animation pipelines when required.
• Collaborate closely with directors, writers, editors and other production team members.
• Participate in production meetings, manage timelines and maintain organized asset libraries.

Required profile

• Strong foundation in animation principles and character animation.
• Experience in storyboarding and visual storytelling.
• Proficiency in motion‑graphics production for film, TV or digital media.
• Effective communication and ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Relevant qualification in Animation, Film, Media, Graphic Design or equivalent practical experience.
• Portfolio or showreel demonstrating animation, storytelling and visual design skills.
