Supply Chain Officer – Responsible Sourcing (Harare)

About the role

The organisation is seeking a Supply Chain Officer to lead responsible sourcing initiatives and ensure compliance with international best‑practice standards. The role involves developing policies, training programmes and risk‑management strategies for the supply chain, with a focus on precious metals logistics.

Key responsibilities

• Draft policies, procedures and manuals on supply chain and responsible sourcing compliance.
• Conduct supply chain reviews and support implementation of the Responsible Sourcing Policy.
• Develop and deliver training programmes for employees and suppliers.
• Verify supplier documentation, licences, beneficial ownership information and production capacity.
• Monitor supplier compliance with international best‑practice requirements.
• Document, map and report on supply chain activities, including consignments and logistics for precious metals.
• Identify, assess and rate supply chain risks; develop risk control plans and management strategies.

Required profile

• Minimum degree in Geology, Mining, Metallurgy, Business Administration, Commerce or related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in supply chain, responsible sourcing or related areas.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with internal teams and external suppliers.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
