Production Supervisor – Manufacturing (Harare)

About the role

The company is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations in its shoe production facility in Harare. Reporting to the Executive Director, the supervisor will ensure that production plans are executed efficiently, quality standards are met, and all equipment operates correctly.

Key responsibilities

• Verify that the daily production register is completed accurately and on time.
• Inspect all machines, report faults, and coordinate maintenance as needed.
• Coordinate daily production plans with relevant departments to ensure timely delivery.
• Control the receipt and use of materials, confirming they meet specifications.
• Monitor production flow and ensure adherence to critical path deadlines.
• Prepare and submit regular reports to senior management.
• Conduct periodic stock takes and maintain inventory records.
• Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and other team members to keep the production process running smoothly.

Required profile

• Minimum two (2) years of experience in shoe manufacturing within the leather or canvas sector.
• Previous supervisory experience in a production environment.
• Ability to demonstrate proof of service in the relevant industry (preferred).

Required skills

• Knowledge of shoe manufacturing processes.
• Familiarity with machine operation and basic troubleshooting.
• Ability to manage production schedules and quality control.
