Medical Assistant (G5) – Call Centre & Data Entry

About the role

The International Organization for Migration is seeking a Medical Assistant (G5) to support the Migration Health Assessment Centre in Harare. Working under the Chief Migration Health Officer and the Head of Clinic, the role combines call‑centre duties with data‑entry and administrative support for health assessments.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the call centre, handling inbound enquiries and providing accurate information to clients.
• Enter, process and analyse health‑assessment data using Windows and MS Office applications.
• Maintain patient records, perform secretarial and archival tasks, and ensure data quality.
• Support customers with care‑related queries and assist in the preparation of reports.
• Collaborate with the clinic team to ensure smooth workflow of the Migration Health Assessment Centre.

Required profile

• University degree with at least three years of relevant experience, or secondary school diploma with at least five years of experience.
• Proven experience in computer data entry, call‑centre operations or a busy medical environment.
• Typing speed of at least 60 words per minute and strong knowledge of data‑management principles.
• High computer literacy in Windows and MS Office; knowledge of web‑page design and medical terminology is an asset.
• Previous experience with NGOs or international organisations is desirable.
