Human Capital Consultant

About the role

We are looking for a Human Capital Consultant to partner with line managers and business leaders in delivering strategic and operational HR solutions that drive business success. The role will provide expert advisory, manage talent initiatives, and ensure compliance with labour legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business units to deliver strategic HR advisory and employee‑relations support aligned with business objectives.
• Lead end‑to‑end recruitment, selection, onboarding and offboarding processes.
• Support performance, talent and succession management initiatives.
• Provide guidance on HR policies, procedures and Zimbabwe labour legislation.
• Manage employee‑relations matters, including disciplinary cases and grievance resolution.
• Facilitate learning and development programmes to build capability.
• Analyse HR data, produce insights and reports to inform workforce decisions.
• Support workforce planning and organisational change initiatives.
• Develop and enhance HR frameworks, policies and tools across recruitment, performance, development, succession, compensation and benefits.
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and continuously improve HR service delivery.
• Promote employee wellness and engagement initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Psychology or related field (IPMZ diploma advantageous).
• Minimum 3 years’ HR experience, preferably in banking or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of Zimbabwe labour legislation, HR policies and employee‑relations practices.
• Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organisational and stakeholder‑management skills with high confidentiality.
