Group Financial Accountant

About the role

ZB Financial Holdings is seeking a results‑driven Group Financial Accountant to ensure the integrity of group‑wide financial data and reporting. The role will focus on accurate consolidation, regulatory compliance and providing insightful analysis to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly consolidated financial results, analyse variances and financial trends.
• Produce quarterly, half‑yearly and annual consolidated financial statements and regulatory returns.
• Manage the General Ledger, including balance‑sheet accounts, suspense accounts, fixed‑asset registers and intercompany reconciliations.
• Oversee tax compliance, quarterly estimated tax payments and statutory filings.
• Deliver financial analysis, insights and recommendations for business decision‑making.
• Develop budgets, forecasts and special financial reports with variance analysis.
• Coordinate the annual external audit and resolve technical review findings.
• Prepare weekly cash‑flow statements and monitor cash‑flow and expenditure.
• Stay current with IFRS, financial regulations and accounting best practices, providing guidance to subsidiaries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or equivalent.
• Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CIS or ICAZ) – mandatory.
• Master’s degree (MBA, MBL or equivalent) – advantageous.
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience, including at least 1 year in a managerial capacity.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, financial analysis ability and commercial acumen.
• Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented, deadline‑driven and able to work under pressure.
