EQ Cost Analyst – Equipment Cost Management

About the role

The EQ Cost Analyst will support Sandvik M and C Zimbabwe by analysing equipment costs, identifying savings, and delivering financial insights that drive profitable equipment utilisation. This role is central to cost control and financial reporting for mining and heavy‑equipment operations.

Key responsibilities

• Track and monitor all equipment‑related costs, analyse variances and recommend cost‑reduction measures.
• Prepare accurate, timely cost reports for management review.
• Process supplier orders, monitor fulfilment, resolve issues and ensure timely delivery of components and services.
• Handle internal requisitions from mine sites and workshops, coordinating with suppliers.
• Enter and reconcile costs in the ERP system for monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Maintain work‑in‑progress tracking, capturing labour, material and overhead costs, and flag potential overruns.
• Ensure correct allocation of costs, accurate supplier categorisation and comprehensive service reporting.
• Manage warranty documentation, submit claim forms and track warranty progress against global standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA or CIMA is a strong advantage.
• Minimum 3 years of cost‑analysis experience in manufacturing, mining or heavy‑equipment environments.
• Proven experience in cost tracking, order processing and financial modelling.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
