Enterprise Architect – Pre‑Sales Technical Leader

About the role

Cypress Technology Advisors is looking for a senior Enterprise Architect to own the technical side of the sales cycle and nurture technical relationships across strategic accounts. This pre‑sales role drives discovery, solution design, and ensures the technical integrity of proposals while staying engaged through delivery for major design decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Account Executives to shape account strategy, build trusted relationships with technical and executive stakeholders, and uncover opportunities before they surface.
• Lead cross‑domain technical discovery, white‑boarding sessions, and advisory workshops to translate business drivers into concrete solution architectures.
• Own the accuracy of BOM, technical scope, licensing, assumptions, risks, and SOW development, providing Delivery with sufficient detail for effort estimates.
• Present technical recommendations to CIOs, CISOs and other executives, communicating risks and trade‑offs in clear, non‑jargon language.
• Maintain strong relationships with strategic OEM and partner technical teams, staying current on roadmaps and leveraging their expertise appropriately.

• Infrastructure: Nutanix, Windows Server, VMware, AHV, Hyper‑V, storage, compute, Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS.
• Cybersecurity: Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco, CrowdStrike, Microsoft security stack, Zscaler, Illumio, SentinelOne, Netskope, Darktrace.
• Networking: Cisco/Meraki, Arista, HPE/Juniper, LAN/WAN/SD‑WAN, Wi‑Fi, segmentation.
• AI: emerging AI platforms and integrations relevant to infrastructure and security.
• Industry certifications (preferred): CCNA/CCNP, NSE, PCNSE, AZ‑104/305, MCSE, VCP.
