Country Partnerships & Technical Assistance Lead

About the role

The Country Partnerships & Technical Assistance Lead is the primary representative of mothers2mothers in the designated Technical Assistance country under the EKN HIV Instrument programme. The role oversees country‑level project implementation, provides technical assistance to partners, and strengthens strategic partnerships with government, civil society and community‑led networks to deliver a rights‑based HIV response.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main m2m representative and focal point in the country.
• Coordinate implementation of country workplans, ensuring alignment with regional objectives.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with relevant government ministries and agencies.
• Lead and facilitate technical assistance design, delivery and monitoring for sub‑grantees.
• Support capacity‑strengthening initiatives for local CSOs, CBOs and AGYW‑led organisations.
• Oversee monitoring, reporting and performance reviews, including risk identification and mitigation.
• Facilitate stakeholder engagement through Country Advisory Committees and community‑led monitoring.
• Identify and pursue partnership and funding opportunities to enhance programme sustainability.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading country‑level health or development programmes, preferably in HIV, SRHR, GBV or MHPSS.
• Demonstrated ability to engage government officials, civil society and community stakeholders and to negotiate strategic collaborations.
• Strong project management skills, including planning, adaptive management and results‑based reporting.
• Experience coordinating technical assistance and capacity‑building activities for local partners.
