Buyer – Edible Oils Division

About the role

The Buyer – Edible Oils Division will lead the sourcing, negotiation and supplier management for edible oil products within a large wholesale and retail organisation. You will ensure product availability, competitive pricing and optimal stock levels across the business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute procurement strategies for the edible oils category.
• Source, negotiate and manage relationships with local and international suppliers.
• Monitor market trends, commodity prices and competitor activity.
• Negotiate pricing, trading terms and promotional support.
• Maintain optimal stock levels while minimising holding costs.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations and Logistics to guarantee product availability.
• Analyse sales, margins and inventory performance to maximise profitability.
• Resolve supplier performance issues and ensure consistent product quality.

Required profile

• Degree or Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business or a related field.
• CIPS qualification is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of buying experience, preferably in edible oils or FMCG grocery products.
• Experience sourcing edible oils from the Indian market is a plus.
• Strong commercial acumen and analytical ability.
