Business Analyst

About the role

The Business Analyst will work closely with the Head of Business Analysis to translate business needs into clear, actionable requirements for the development team. This hands‑on position involves eliciting information, documenting functional specifications, and supporting delivery within an Agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct elicitation sessions with stakeholders and produce Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and user stories.
• Create and manage tickets in YouTrack/Jira, ensuring they pass the approval workflow.
• Support the development team during active sprints by clarifying requirements and answering queries.
• Validate data using SQL queries and assist with API integration testing.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 2‑4 years of Business Analysis experience in technology, fintech or financial services.
• Proven ability to write user stories, acceptance criteria and detailed requirements documentation.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery teams.

Required skills

• SQL – ability to write basic SELECT, WHERE and JOIN queries for data validation.
• Wireframing tools such as Figma or Balsamiq.
• Understanding of REST API concepts and use of Postman for request testing.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with ticketing tools like YouTrack or Jira.
