Assistant Account Executive

About the role

The Assistant Account Executive supports the Account Manager in coordinating client accounts, developing marketing solutions and ensuring smooth workflow between clients and internal teams. This client‑facing position requires strong organisational skills, commercial awareness and a curiosity for creative marketing.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Account Manager in managing client relationships and daily account activity.
• Liaise with clients, follow up on feedback, approvals and outstanding information.
• Prepare meeting notes, action points, briefs and project updates.
• Translate client requirements into clear instructions for internal teams.
• Coordinate timelines and communication across strategy, creative, digital and production teams.
• Conduct client, competitor, consumer and market research.
• Contribute to campaign strategies, presentations and creative brainstorming.
• Develop proactive ideas and proposals that support client growth.
• Track deliverables, deadlines and approval processes.
• Assist with monthly, campaign and project reporting.
• Support client presentations, shoots, activations and campaign rollouts.
• Escalate risks, delays and scope changes to the Account Manager.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations or a related field.
• At least 2 years’ experience in an advertising, creative, branding or digital marketing agency.
• Experience in client service, account coordination or project management.
• Strong writing, research, presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to develop clear briefs, reports, proposals and strategic recommendations.
• Good understanding of marketing, social media and campaign development.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace.
