Remote Rust Open Source Contributor (Contract)

About the role

We are looking for a remote Rust Open Source Contributor to deliver production‑quality code, reviews, and documentation for open‑source repositories that support our client’s projects. You will work collaboratively with a global team, designing and optimizing complex algorithms across multiple programming languages.

Key responsibilities

• Write, review, and maintain production‑grade code in Rust and other languages.
• Design, implement, and optimize algorithms and system components using C++, Python, Java, Go, or TypeScript.
• Identify and resolve bugs, performance bottlenecks, and technical challenges in existing codebases.
• Collaborate with contributors and stakeholders to align deliverables with project goals and best practices.
• Create and enhance technical documentation to facilitate knowledge sharing and onboarding.
• Participate in code discussions, providing constructive feedback to improve overall code quality.

Required profile

• Experience working on large‑scale, distributed codebases.
• Proven track record of rigorous code reviews and adherence to software best practices.
• Familiarity with modern AI or machine‑learning systems is a plus.
