About the role
We are seeking a Metallurgist to join our team in Harare, Zimbabwe. The role involves testing ores, developing and optimizing processing methods, monitoring plant operations, and conducting laboratory research to improve metal recovery.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct mineral and ore testing to determine mineral content, quality, and suitability for processing.
- Design and optimize processing methods such as crushing, grinding, flotation, leaching, and smelting to improve metal recovery.
- Monitor metallurgical plant operations to ensure efficiency, recovery rates, grade, and product quality meet standards.
- Perform laboratory research and analysis, conducting experiments and analyzing samples to solve processing problems and enhance extraction efficiency.
Required profile
- At least a diploma; a degree is an added advantage.
- Minimum of one year of relevant experience.
