Maintenance Manager – Farm Infrastructure & Equipment

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Maintenance Manager to lead the upkeep of farm infrastructure, machinery, and utilities across a diversified agricultural operation. You will ensure high equipment availability, drive preventive maintenance, and supervise a skilled maintenance team in a fast‑paced farm environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and execute preventive maintenance for tractors, implements, irrigation systems, generators, vehicles and other farm assets.
• Lead and coordinate maintenance crews, artisans, mechanics and external contractors.
• Manage workshop organization, cost control, safety compliance and spare‑parts inventory.
• Monitor fuel consumption, equipment performance and maintenance expenditures.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns, troubleshoot issues and minimise downtime.
• Support budgeting, procurement of spares and preparation of maintenance reports.
• Ensure compliance with occupational safety, environmental and operational standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering or a related technical field.
• Proven experience managing maintenance in agriculture, farming, mining or heavy‑equipment settings.
• Strong knowledge of farm machinery, diesel equipment, irrigation systems and workshop operations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage contractors and work under pressure.
• Computer literacy with experience in maintenance reporting and planning.
• Valid driver’s licence preferred.
