Logistics and Procurement Officer

About the role

The Logistics and Procurement Officer will be based in Chipinge and will support COPAZ’s mission by ensuring that goods and services are sourced, purchased and delivered efficiently. This full‑time, on‑site position reports to senior management and works closely with program teams to keep operations running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts and secure competitive terms.
• Manage the end‑to‑end procurement cycle, from requisition to purchase order issuance.
• Track shipments, coordinate customs clearance and oversee the receipt of goods.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and conduct regular stock reconciliations.
• Monitor procurement budgets, approve expenditures and seek cost‑saving opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, donor requirements and local regulations.
• Prepare regular reports on procurement activities, inventory status and budget utilization.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Business Administration or a related field.
• Proven experience in logistics and procurement, preferably within a non‑profit or development setting.
• Familiarity with the rural operating environment in Zimbabwe is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication abilities.
