Farm Manager – Production & Projects

About the role

We are seeking a mature, reliable Farm Manager to lead daily production and project activities on our ranch in Somabhula. Reporting to the Finance & Administration Manager and working under the Director of Operations & Business Development, the role will drive operational turnaround and support growth of our livestock, hay, dairy and horticulture operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily farm operations, supervise staff and herders, and ensure structured execution.
• Manage hay baling, loading, dispatch and maintain accurate bale inventory records.
• Support livestock management including herd monitoring, dipping, dosing, vaccination and disease‑control reporting.
• Assist in preparing the milking parlour, cold rooms and related dairy infrastructure for future production.
• Support horticulture and irrigation tasks such as land preparation, planting, crop monitoring, weeding and harvesting.
• Maintain daily and weekly farm records, track fuel, equipment use, inputs and stock movements.
• Report machinery breakdowns, equipment misuse or losses promptly.

Required profile

• Certificate or diploma in Agriculture, Animal Production, Crop Production, Farm Management or related field (degree preferred but not required).
• At least 5 years of practical farm experience covering livestock, hay/forage production and basic dairy or horticulture work.
• Demonstrated honesty, production discipline and ability to supervise teams.
