Solar Plant SCADA Operator

About the role

CrossBoundary Energy is seeking a Solar Plant SCADA Operator to monitor and control a photovoltaic (PV) power plant using the Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system. The role focuses on real‑time performance monitoring, fault diagnosis, efficiency optimisation and ensuring reliable plant operation.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Plant Manager with O&M coordination and performance monitoring of the PV solar plant.
• Monitor day‑to‑day operations of electrical and mechanical equipment and execute scheduled preventive maintenance according to OEM guidelines and company standards.
• Troubleshoot alarms, identify root causes of faults and implement corrective actions.
• Track system availability, performance KPIs and downtime, escalating major issues as needed.
• Maintain accurate data logs and participate in toolbox talks, safety audits and risk assessments.
• Identify opportunities for performance improvements and reliability enhancements.

Required profile

• Ability to work under pressure and respond to real‑time system alerts.
• Strong attention to detail and strict adherence to procedures.
• Effective communication and coordination with technical teams.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating SCADA systems for solar plants.
• Experience with PV solar plant monitoring and diagnostic tools.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices for electrical and mechanical equipment.
