About the role
The Mechanical Engineering Intern will join Kimtronix Global’s engineering team in Harare, supporting the development of mechanical components and systems. The role offers hands‑on experience with design, testing and documentation while working closely with cross‑functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in the design and analysis of mechanical parts using CAD software.
- Prepare and update technical drawings and assembly models.
- Contribute to prototype fabrication and performance testing.
- Support troubleshooting activities and evaluate test results.
- Participate in project meetings and maintain accurate records of design changes.
Required profile
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to interpret data.
- Effective communication skills for team collaboration and documentation.
- Willingness to work on‑site in Harare and take initiative.
- Familiarity with engineering standards, manufacturing processes and material properties is an advantage.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Computer‑Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating models, assemblies and technical drawings.
- Understanding of engineering standards and manufacturing processes.
