Vice Chancellor

About the role

The Vice Chancellor is the most senior academic and administrative leader of the Global University of Inclusivity (GUI). This pioneering position will drive GUI’s vision of becoming the world’s foremost institution for equity‑centred higher education, rooted in inclusive practices.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and vision to advance GUI’s mission, values, and global reputation.
• Lead the implementation of GUI’s strategic plan across all functions.
• Oversee academic, administrative, financial, and operational activities.
• Represent GUI to government, accreditation bodies (ZIMCHE), international partners, and the global higher‑education community.
• Champion fundraising, resource mobilisation, and development of sustainable revenue streams.
• Foster a culture of inclusion, excellence, innovation, and accountability.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with universities, NGOs, governments, and development agencies worldwide.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant higher‑education legal, regulatory, and quality standards.

Required profile

• PhD or equivalent in a relevant academic field.
• Demonstrated senior leadership experience in higher education or comparable complex institutions.
• Deep commitment to disability rights, equity, diversity, and inclusion in education.
• Proven experience in strategic planning, institutional development, and stakeholder management.
• Track record of successful fundraising and resource mobilisation.
• Familiarity with national and international higher‑education regulatory environments.
• Exceptional communication, representation, and relationship‑building skills.
