Transfrontier Project Manager

About the role

The Peace Parks Foundation is seeking a Transfrontier Project Manager to lead a 42‑month EU‑funded initiative that promotes rights‑based coexistence of people and wildlife across the LoZaMaP‑ZiMoZa transboundary landscapes in Zimbabwe, Zambia and Mozambique. Based in Chinhoyi, the manager will report to the Regional Manager North and coordinate closely with partner organisations and government agencies.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the full lifecycle of the project, ensuring compliance with donor, procurement and financial reporting requirements.
• Lead biodiversity activities such as transboundary wildlife surveys, joint monitoring systems, land‑use mapping and the development of a fisheries strategy.
• Drive community‑livelihood components, including sustainable agriculture pilots, value‑chain development and human‑wildlife conflict mitigation measures.
• Strengthen governance by establishing TFCA structures, technical working groups and rights‑based training programmes.
• Facilitate coordination among partners in Zimbabwe, Zambia and Mozambique, ensuring data‑driven and inclusive management.

Required profile

• Experience in the non‑profit sector managing international donor‑funded conservation or community projects.
• Proven ability to engage multiple stakeholders across borders and sectors.
• Strong understanding of social safeguards, procurement rules and financial reporting.
