Test UAT Specialist

About the role

The Test UAT Specialist will join CBZ Holdings' Group Information Technology Department to lead user acceptance testing for financial services projects. You will work closely with business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure solutions meet functional and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop UAT strategy, scope, and test plans aligned to project requirements.
• Prepare test scenarios, scripts, and test data in collaboration with business stakeholders.
• Ensure traceability between business requirements and UAT test cases.
• Coordinate UAT environments and data readiness with IT teams.
• Lead and coordinate execution of UAT cycles.
• Facilitate business user participation in testing activities.
• Monitor test progress and report on execution status.
• Log, track, and manage defects to resolution.
• Validate defect fixes and perform regression testing where required.
• Liaise with business units, project managers, developers, and solution architects.
• Facilitate UAT workshops and walkthrough sessions.
• Communicate testing progress, risks, and issues clearly to stakeholders.
• Ensure testing aligns with documented functional requirements and process flows.
• Validate compliance with regulatory and operational standards.
• Confirm system outputs (reports, calculations, integrations) are accurate and complete.
• Maintain audit‑ready documentation for testing artefacts.
• Produce UAT status reports and defect summaries.
• Support business owners in formal UAT sign‑off.
• Confirm readiness for production deployment based on agreed criteria.
• Document lessons learned and post‑implementation feedback.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• Master’s degree in Information Technology or related field is an advantage.
• 5–8 years of testing or business systems validation experience within the financial services industry.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies such as Agile and Scrum.
• Familiarity with core banking and insurance systems.
• Experience testing AI or automation solutions.
• Ability to define UAT strategy and readiness criteria.
• Experience working in a multi‑entity group environment supporting cross‑functional initiatives.
