Shona–English Language Expert (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a bilingual Shona‑English language expert to join our remote team. The role involves high‑quality transcription, linguistic analysis, and detailed annotation of video content, helping our customers improve multilingual projects.

Key responsibilities

• Transcribe Shona‑English video recordings with precise timestamps.
• Analyze and describe speakers' emotional expressions and tone throughout each file.
• Evaluate and articulate nuanced grammatical structures in both languages.
• Define conceptual meanings of words and phrases, providing clear contextual explanations.
• Deliver comprehensive language analysis on complex linguistic tasks.
• Collaborate with the client’s team to enhance the quality and integrity of multilingual deliverables.

Required profile

• Full professional fluency in Shona and English, both written and spoken.
• Proven experience in transcription, translation, or linguistic analysis.
• Strong ability to identify and describe emotional nuances and tones in spoken language.
• Meticulous attention to detail for accurate timestamping and data annotation.
• High‑level proficiency in analyzing grammatical and conceptual language elements.
