Provincial Farmer Coordinator – Midlands

About the role

The Provincial Farmer Coordinator will be based in the Midlands province and will lead the mobilisation, registration and support of farmer members. This full‑time, on‑site position works closely with the Union to enhance farmer livelihoods, productivity and market access.

Key responsibilities

• Mobilise and register farmers, organise provincial meetings and facilitate communication between members and the Union.
• Plan and deliver training sessions, field days and information workshops in partnership with local extension services.
• Collect, analyse and report data on farmer needs, production trends and market prices.
• Support project implementation, monitor field activities and provide feedback to provincial and national leadership.
• Disseminate timely information on inputs, policies and market developments.

Required profile

• Strong community mobilisation and stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Experience in agricultural extension, rural development or related fieldwork.
• Ability to plan, prioritise and manage multiple activities across a province.
• Minimum diploma or degree in Agriculture Development Studies or a related field.
• Fluency in English and at least one major local language.
