Project Account Manager

About the role

FAMS is seeking a Project Account Manager to act as the primary liaison between our company and a key client in the oil and gas sector in Zimbabwe. You will coordinate logistics operations, manage client relationships, and drive performance improvements across road, air, and ocean freight services.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the relationship between FAMS and the assigned client, serving as the main point of contact.
• Coordinate with FAMS Operations teams to ensure timely arrival, clearance, and delivery of materials to project sites.
• Develop and maintain reports, KPIs, SOPs, and process maps aligned with client and internal requirements.
• Handle accounts receivable, invoicing, and performance issues to meet operational targets.
• Collect RFI/RFP/RFQ information, prepare quotes, and support tender processes.
• Provide regular updates and daily shipment tracking for imports and exports.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a customer‑facing sales or logistics role.
• Strong knowledge of air, ocean, road freight and warehousing.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills.
• Proficiency in digital record keeping and monthly reporting.
• 5 O‑levels including Maths and English, or equivalent professional qualification.
