Market Intelligence Officer

About the role

The Market Intelligence Officer will support the Marketing and Communications Department by providing data‑driven insights on the higher education landscape. This role focuses on analysing competitor activity, student demographics and market trends to guide recruitment and programme development.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct continuous competitor benchmarking and market analysis across regional and international higher education sectors.
• Monitor and report on rival marketing campaigns, digital positioning, programme offerings and pricing structures.
• Gather and analyse empirical data on student demographics, enrollment trends and consumer preferences.
• Undertake market viability assessments for new academic programmes and institutional projects.
• Design and execute market research instruments such as student satisfaction surveys and stakeholder feedback mechanisms.
• Translate complex datasets into clear analytical reports and dashboards for senior management.
• Collaborate with the digital media team to evaluate the reach, impact and ROI of marketing communications.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Strategic Brand Management or Consumer Marketing Intelligence.
• Minimum two years of progressive experience in market research, business intelligence, corporate strategy or data analysis, preferably in a corporate or higher‑education setting.
• Strong written and spoken English with professional communication standards.
• Demonstrated analytical capability and attention to detail.

Required skills

• Proficiency with data visualisation tools.
• Experience using statistical software.
• Familiarity with digital analytics platforms.
• Certificate in digital marketing (advantageous).
