Legal and Contracts Officer

About the role

The Legal and Contracts Officer provides substantive legal support across ACRN’s clinical research, life‑sciences, and corporate operations. Working closely with senior leadership, external counsel, sponsors and partners, the officer ensures that contracts and legal processes enable compliant, ethical, and sustainable research activities.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of agreements, including clinical trial agreements, site agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, MOUs, collaboration agreements and corporate contracts.
• Ensure contracts address legal, regulatory, financial and operational risks and support timely execution.
• Provide legal support for regulated clinical research activities, aligning with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Advise leadership on legal and contractual risk and support compliant execution of trials and partnerships.
• Support board and corporate governance functions, including preparation of board documentation, resolutions and statutory records.
• Liaise with external counsel, sponsors and partners to safeguard ACRN’s legal and reputational interests.

Required profile

• Proven experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial and research‑related contracts.
• Familiarity with clinical research regulations, GCP and related compliance frameworks.
• Ability to assess and mitigate legal, regulatory and fiduciary risks.
• Strong communication skills to interact with senior leadership, external counsel and diverse stakeholders.

Required skills

• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and clinical trial regulatory environments.
• Understanding of corporate governance and board documentation processes.
