About the role

Midlands State University invites applications for two senior academic positions in Marketing. The successful candidates will join the Faculty of Business Sciences, Department of Information and Marketing Sciences, contributing to teaching, research and community engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and teach at least three modules such as Market Analytics, Neuropreneurship, New Product Innovation, Consumer Data Analytics, Accounting for Managers, or Neuro‑marketing.
• Supervise student research projects and assess work‑related learning.
• Engage in active research within the candidate’s area of specialization, producing publications that benefit students and the university.
• Participate in departmental, faculty and university activities, including meetings, workshops, conferences and community outreach.
• Lead innovation initiatives, contributing to the development and commercialisation of tangible products and services.

Required profile

• First degree in Marketing or equivalent with at least a 2.1 classification.
• Master’s degree in Marketing, Strategic Brand Management, Strategic Marketing, International Marketing or equivalent.
• A PhD in Marketing or related field is an added advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise research, assess work‑related learning and teach multiple marketing modules.
