Human Resources Intern

About the role

As a Human Resources Intern at Hyatt Regency Harare, you will support the HR team in delivering exceptional colleague experiences that reflect Hyatt’s culture of care, inclusion and service excellence. This hands‑on role offers exposure to HR operations within a luxury hospitality environment, where employee engagement is as important as guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in sourcing, screening and scheduling interviews for candidates across hotel departments.
• Support onboarding by preparing employment documentation, welcome packs and coordinating first‑day activities.
• Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, contracts and HR correspondence.
• Track attendance, leave and assist with payroll input while ensuring compliance with Hyatt policies and local labour regulations.
• Contribute to colleague engagement initiatives, events, wellness activities and recognition programmes.
• Help coordinate training sessions, orientation programmes and monitor learning progress.
• Participate in HR projects such as engagement surveys, policy updates and other initiatives that enhance colleague satisfaction.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Human Resources, Human Capital Management, Psychology or a related field.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a people‑first mindset.
• Professionalism, confidentiality and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
