Housekeeping Supervisor

About the role

The Housekeeping Supervisor leads the cleaning operations at Avani Victoria Falls Resort, ensuring all guest‑facing and back‑of‑house areas meet the brand’s high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure all public, guest‑facing and back‑of‑house areas are cleaned to the highest standards at all times.
• Maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Enforce departmental SOPs and LSOPs among all housekeeping staff.
• Coach, orient and train new team members and develop multi‑skilled staff.
• Manage linen, towel and uniform inventories, maintain accurate records and control par levels.
• Oversee lost‑and‑found procedures and proper key controls.
• Coordinate with suppliers and maintain positive relationships.
• Monitor overtime, minimise waste of materials and amenities, and ensure VIP and special guest requests are fulfilled.

Required profile

• Strong leadership and coaching abilities.
• Attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness standards.
• Good organisational skills for inventory and record keeping.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other departments.
• Understanding of health, safety and security protocols.
